CULLMAN – The Festhalle and Warehouse District were hopping Friday night, as the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce and Cullman Parks and Recreation held this year’s first 2nd Friday event downtown. The events will take place, you guessed it, on the second Friday of each month through September.

Director of Member Services for the chamber, Magan Bartlett, says 2nd Fridays are a way to create a nightlife in downtown Cullman. “It brings families of all ages together for a great night of fun,” she said.

Friday’s festivities featured live music, local shopping and restaurants, children's activities, Cullman Farmer’s Market, an antique and classic car cruise-in, the Artist’s Alley and more, drawing a crowd to the central business district.

Said Bartlett, “Any event is going to take time to grow, and the word is spreading; I think that everyone is benefiting from this.”
