Hanceville man killed in motorcycle crash Sunday

LOGAN – A Hanceville man was killed late Sunday morning after the 1991 Kawasaki motorcycle he was driving collided head on with a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck on County Road 813 in the Logan community.

Joseph Lee Gregory, 20, of Hanceville was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick.

The cause of the collision, which occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. Sunday morning, is under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).

The driver of the Chevrolet, along with a passenger in his vehicle, were transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries, read a statement from ALEA Trooper Curtis Summerville.

Volunteer firefighters from Trimble and Logan, along with troopers from ALEA, Cullman County Sheriff's Office deputies and Cullman Emergency Medical Services staff assisted at the scene.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate
