Mary Frances Bills Henderson, 74 of Arley, entered into rest on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in Shelby, Alabama.

Mary was born on January 30, 1942 in Jefferson County. She was a graduate of the 1959 Class of Minor High School. She worked as a substitute teacher at Meek School and in furniture assembly at Dover Furniture, but the most important job she held was as housewife and mother. Mary enjoyed quilting and home decorating. She was given the nickname "Red" as a child due to her red hair.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs. A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs at 1pm. Brother Larry Quinn will officiate.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Karla J. Hogan and Susan G. Kennedy; brother, Charles William Bills and his wife Chessie; she was "Granny" to 2 grandchildren, Daniel Thomas Hogan and his wife Tiffany, and Kimberly Diane Sims and her husband Matthew; and 4 great grandchildren, Victoria Anne Hogan, Clara Candace Sims, Harley Thomas Earp, and Cason Hunter Hogan; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene T.L. Henderson; parents, Robert Miles and Della Kate Smith Bills; grandsons, Zachariah Robert Hogan and Ezra Thomas Hogan; brothers, Tom Bills and Melton Bills; and sister, Bobbie Norman.
