Obituary: Marcia Dean Eskridge

Marcia Dean Eskridge, 86 of Double Springs, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at ECM Hospital in Florence.

Marcia was born on January 25, 1930 in Halls, Tennessee. She was a member of Decatur Baptist Church for approximately 10 years. During her lifetime, she worked in sales at Katz and was the records department manager at Sears, both in Memphis, TN; and was co-owner of Mobile Vista Bow Window in Double Springs. She loved to dance and therefore, the job she most loved was dance instructor for Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Ogden, UT.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 1-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where a memorial service will be held at 2pm. Pastor Jay Rosario will officiate.

Marcia is survived by her daughter, Dana Moody; brothers, John and James Eskridge; sister, Donna Eskridge; she was "Nana" to 2 grandchildren, Christy Meyer and her husband Loren, and Kevin Saylors; and 1 great grandson, Lars Meyer. She was also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Wilma Eskridge; infant son, Bobby Wayne Dillaha; sister, Frances Eskridge; niece, Pam Eskridge; and great nephew, Ronnie Phillips.
