…Cold temperatures and patchy black ice overnight…
Temperatures will remain at or below freezing for most of the area
for the rest of the afternoon and begin to fall through the evening
hours. Low temperatures are forecast to drop to the upper teens in
parts of southern middle Tennessee and the middle 20s in northeast
Alabama. With a brisk 10 to 15 mph breeze overnight, wind chills for
early Monday morning will be in the single digits to the middle
teens.
With the temperatures not expected to rise above freezing, any
lingering water on roadways, bridges and low spots will freeze
overnight. This could cause a few slick spots overnight and for the
Monday morning commute.
