Mr. Herman Oscar "Jake" Blalock of Bremen Alabama passed away on December 14, 2015 at his residence at the age of 92. He was born in Cullman on November 23, 1923 to Dennis "Poppy" and Martha Gunter Blalock. He is preceded in death by: parents, brothers: Clycee and Thurman Blalock, sister: Flora Blalock, grandson: Ted Blalock Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Moss Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with interment in Dorsey Creek Cemetery.
Ministers will be Rev. Ted Blalock and Rev. Johnny Freeman.
Survivors are: Wife: Helen Burrow Blalock, 2 sons: Ted (Claudine) Blalock, Dillard (Suzanne) Blalock, 1 daughter: Joan (Pete) Hayes, 1 brother: Bobby Blalock, 1 sister: Clytee Willoughby, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday at Moss Funeral Home from 12 p.m. Noon until service time at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Dorsey Creek Mission Church located at 320 County Road 68, Bremen Alabama 35033.
