The Eagles finished the regular season 6-4 overall and 4-3 in Class 3A, Region 6. Their victory, coupled with Hokes Bluff’s 14-7 win over Glencoe, secured the region’s fourth playoff position.
Rhodes scored on a 65-yard run on the first play from scrimmage. Susan Moore answered with a touchdown pass with 2:19 remaining before halftime, taking a 7-6 lead.
Speer intercepted a fourth-down pass in the end zone late in the third quarter after Susan Moore reached first-and-goal inside the Vinemont 5.

However, Guntersville holds the head-to-head advantage after defeating the Aggies 7-3 on Sept. 11.
Under the AHSAA’s two-team tiebreaking rule, that result places Guntersville ahead of Fairview if both finish 5-3.
