CULLMAN, Ala. – The Link Family Resource Center is joining with community partners to host a trunk or treat celebration on Friday, Oct. 23, from 6–8 p.m. at the Desperation Church Student Center.

Executive Director Melissa Betts said the event is family friendly and the community is invited to enjoy an evening of decorated trunks, candy, community connections and fun for all ages.

“Our heart is to create opportunities for families to connect, not only with The Link, but with the many wonderful organizations and people who make our community special,” Betts said. “We are grateful for our community partners who are coming together to make this a fun evening for families.”

Participating community partners include America’s First Federal Credit Union, the North Alabama Agriplex, Render Aid Alabama, the Cullman County Extension Office, the Cullman County Public Library and additional local organizations.

Food trucks will also be available throughout the evening, including Beto’s Tacos & More, Devil Dawgs, Holders & Beans Coffee Truck and A Little Something Extra Ice Cream.

“For The Link, events like trunk or treat are about more than an evening of fun,” Betts said. “They create opportunities for families to build relationships, connect with community organizations and learn about resources available throughout Cullman County.”

Betts said families are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite costumes and enjoy the festivities on Friday.

Recently accredited through the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers, The Link works alongside families through supportive services, educational enrichment, parenting and family strengthening programs, and personal pathways toward greater stability and opportunity.

The Desperation Church Student Center is located at 202 Elizabeth St. NE in Cullman.
