CULLMAN, Ala. – The Ms. Senior Cullman County Pageant will take place Saturday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Fairview High School auditorium. The deadline to submit an application to enter is Sept. 1.
Ms. Senior Cullman County Pageant Director Gidget Gregory entry is limited to 12 delegates.
“We have a few spots remaining, so please reach out to secure your spot,” Gregory said. “Ms. Senior Cullman County ages 60-69 and Ms. Super Senior Cullman County 70 and above are the two divisions for the pageant.”
Gregory is entering her second season as pageant director and said they love the support the event receives from the community.
“We would appreciate any local Individuals or businesses sponsoring us through this process and getting involved,” Gregory said. “Their business/ad will go in our program and we will also announce them on Facebook if they do the higher levels. We try to give back to our community as much as we can through this process.”
This event was founded by Betty Leeth Haynes, who crowned Ms. Senior Cullman County in 1997, Gregory shared.
“After earning the title Ms. Senior Alabama in 1997, she was inspired to give other ladies in Cullman County a similar opportunity,” she said.
This year, Gregory said they are giving back to two charities: LEAD and First Source for Women.
“The ladies will need the help of the audience for the People’s Choice Award,” Gregory said. “Every dollar donated towards a delegate counts as a vote. Portions of the People’s Choice will be donated toward these two charities.”
There will be four categories: Interview 30%, Fun fashion 20%, Active wear 20%, Evening wear 20% / On-stage question 10%.
The pageant will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. at the Fairview High School auditorium.
