FAIRVIEW, Ala. – The Fairview Senior Center is hosting its first Car & Craft Show this Saturday, Aug. 29, at from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at Randall Shedd Community Park (Fairview Park).

Fairview Senior Center Manager Angie Carter said they are excited to bring this event to life and hope the community will rally around it.

“We would like to give a special thank you to the Town of Fairview, Mayor Clint Haynes, Debbie Shedd, Coca-Cola and all those who have helped and supported us to make this event possible,” Carter said. “We truly couldn’t do it without the community. We have smash burgers, tacos, hotdogs and ice cream on-site. This event is one of our fundraisers for the Fairview Senior Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving our community.”

Vendor setup will be first come, first served, Carter shared.

“We’re excited to have 32 craft vendors, four food trucks offering a wide variety of items,” she said. “You will see items like candles, jewelry, lemonade, a slime bar, T-shirts and decals, beaded crafts, crochet items, baked goods, custom bows, blankets, flowers, woodworking, jams, jellies, pies, cakes, quilts, wreaths, kettle corn, resin items, homemade soaps, dog treats, cutting boards, plates and more.”

Car registration is $20 per vehicle; craft vendor spots are $20 and food trucks spots are $50.

“There will be awards for the car show, so bring your best ride and see if you take home a win,” Carter said. “The categories include: Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Pickup and the Overall Winner.”

Fairview Park is located at 605-649 Wesley Ave.

The Fairview Lions Club will host its annual Labor Day celebration on Sept. 7, featuring a parade, car show, craft booths and live music. That event will also take place at the park. (www.cullmantribune.com/2026/08/25/fairview-lions-club-labor-day-celebration-returns-sept-7)
