Roger Edward Page, 77, passed away on August 19, 2026. He was born on January 29, 1949, in East St. Louis, Illinois, and later made his home in Vinemont, Alabama.
Roger moved to Vinemont in 1964, beginning a lifelong connection to the community that would remain central to his story. From an early age and throughout his life, he carried himself with steady resilience and a deep loyalty to those he loved, meeting each season with quiet strength and an enduring sense of purpose.
After high school, Roger entered the United States Navy, answering the call to serve with dedication and resolve. In later years, he brought that same work ethic to civilian life, operating his own business as a painting contractor. Those who knew him understood that he was hard-working to the core—reliable, capable, and committed to doing things the right way—while also possessing a warm humor that could lighten a room and put others at ease.
Roger was, above all, a devoted provider for his family, placing their needs first and giving of himself generously. He and his wife, Deborah, were married in 1969, building a life rooted in steadfast love and shared devotion. Together, Roger and Deborah found joy in square dancing and in the traditions they made side by side, including attending Auburn Football games as season ticket holders and traveling to multiple National Championship games—moments that reflected not only their enthusiasm, but also the simple happiness they found in being together. Roger and Deborah were married for 57 wonderful years and together, through their eternal love, raised two daughters, Katina and Jamie.
Roger will be remembered as beloved by those who had the privilege to know him—steadfast, giving, and faithful through the years, with a spirit that endured and a presence that will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lowell H. Page and Herminda W.E. Wild; brother, PFC Roy D. Page; and sister, Gail Wykoff.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Rao Barbara Blumenfeld, Joan Wykoff, and Wendy Burk; brothers, John Page and Barry Wykoff; daughters, Katina Page (John Hamilton) and Jamie Cagle (David); grandchildren, Austin Tillman (Shea), Zane Tillman, Hadley Jordan, Bracie Cagle, Collin Cagle and Sari Evans; alongside a host of Great Grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held September 3, 2026, at 2 p.m. on the grounds of Mt. Olive at Providence Primitive Baptist Church – 50 Co. Rd. 1428, Vinemont, AL 35179.
