CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman VFW on Aug. 8, hosted its third Back-to-School Bash.
The VFW Auxiliary’s Gina Adams said that the event was for the children of Cullman and other surrounding areas to have a place to have one more go at a summer vacation before starting school.
“This is just a fun day for the community to come play, but we do work with the community when we find specific needs that we can meet.”
She continued, “For this event we feed everyone, everybody gets to eat for free.” This year they provided hotdogs, chips, drinks, snow cones, popcorn and even some large bags of potatoes to take home.
There was also a bounce house, color station, balloon art provided by “Bubbles” (Lisa Williams) and “Chaplain” (Don Froelich), a water side and indoor games.
