A Celebration of Life service for Melissa “Missy Rae” Munger, 53, will be
Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck
Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Sunday, February 8, 2026, from
1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Munger passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at UAB Hospital. Missy
was born to Carl Michael and Gloria Joan Self Jackson in Michigan on June 6,
1972. She was raised in the Baptist faith and truly loved life to the
fullest. She was a licensed massage therapist at Kindred Spirits Massage
Therapy in Hartselle. Missy was a phenomenal sketch artist that loved life
and all it had to offer, often trying new things, successful or not, she was
onto to something else. Her greatest love was her family but her
grandchildren were her world. She is going to be terribly missed by all who
new her.
Missy is preceded in death by her father, Carl “Mike” Jackson.
Survivors include her Husband – Matthew Munger, a Son – Jackson Shaw,
Daughters – Raegan Wiley (Seth) and Kelsey Riendeau (John), her Mother –
Joan Self Jackson
Brother – Michael Jackson (Kristi) and Step-children – Adam Munger (Ashley),
Daniel Munger (Kari), Meredith Edmundson (Kevin) and Benjamin Munger (Marty)
her fourteen Grandchildren – Grayson, Axel, Nash, Kreed, Nashoba, Lennon,
Arabella, Hudson, Lyla, Brooks, Jovi, Nora, Shane, Miles.
