
HANCEVILLE, Ala. — Wallace State Community College will host Ballet South’s production of “The Nutcracker” Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 22-23, at the Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre.
The annual event is an unofficial kickoff for the holiday season and features dozens of dancers from the community. “The Nutcracker” follows Clara as she travels in dreams to the Land of the Sweets where she meets life-size toy soldiers, the Sugar Plum Fairu, the Dew Drop Fairy and more.
Shows will be held at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23. Admission is $22 for adults and $15 for children. Tickets can be purchased at www.ballet-south.org.
Next on the Fine and Performing Arts schedule for the Fall 2025 semester is the annual Christmas Spectacular on Dec. 11, at 7 p.m. in the Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre.
