HANCEVILLE, Ala. – Wallace State Community College’s Fine and Performing Arts programs will present their annual Veterans Day concert on Monday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre. Admission is free and open to the public.
The Salute to United States Veterans concert will feature the Wallace State Concert Band and the Wallace State Jazz Band, as they play a selection of patriotic tunes that celebrate service members and their families who have served in the United States military. The program will include music that reflects the spirit and history of times of military conflict.
A highlight of the event is the performance of the Armed Forces Medley, which includes the anthems for each branch of military service.
“It’s a privilege to be able to perform this concert every year,” said Ricky Burks, chair of the Wallace State Fine and Performing Arts programs and director of the Wallace State Jazz Band. “It’s especially meaningful when we see veterans in attendance stand when the anthem for their branch of the military service is played.”
Next on the Fine and Performing Arts schedule for the Fall 2025 semester is
