CULLMAN, Ala. – Academy Sports + Outdoors will open its first store in Cullman next month, the company said in a media release. The opening date is listed as Sept. 15, 2025, on the company’s website. Located at 1667 Second Ave. SW, the 55,000-square-foot store will be Academy’s 17th location in Alabama.
The company said the new Academy Sports + Outdoors store will carry a wide assortment of sports and outdoors products. Cullman customers can expect to find a unique assortment from top brands like Nike, adidas, Jordan Brand, Carhartt, Stanley, Titleist, Shimano, Brooks, YETI and more. Academy also offers its exclusive, private label brands such as Magellan Outdoors, Freely, R.O.W., BCG, H2OX, Redfield and Mosaic.
