GOOD HOPE, Ala. – Good Hope City Councilwoman Susan Eller this week officially announced her re-election bid.

Below is Eller’s announcement.

Susan Eller, current member of the Good Hope City Council, Place #3, has officially announced her candidacy for re-election. With a heart for service and a deep love for her community, Eller is seeking another term to continue the progress she has helped lead in recent years.

“Serving the people of Good Hope has been an honor,” Eller said. “This is a community I love deeply, and I’m proud of the growth we’ve seen and the momentum we’ve built. I’m running for re-election to continue giving back and working hard for the city that means so much to me.”

During her time on the council, Eller has been a strong advocate for responsible growth and infrastructure improvements. She points to the increasing number of businesses choosing to call Good Hope home, as well as major infrastructure projects such as the expansion of the city’s sewer system and upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant.

Eller also emphasized her commitment to supporting local schools and ensuring students and educators have the resources they need to succeed. “Strong schools are the heart of a strong community,” she said. “I will continue working closely with school leaders to support their efforts and ensure our city remains a place where young people can learn, grow, and thrive.”

A lifelong resident of Good Hope, Eller is deeply rooted in the community. She is married to Jim Eller, and together they have one daughter, Sarah. She is a proud graduate of Good Hope High School and attended Wallace State Community College.

Eller’s campaign will focus on continued smart development, supporting local businesses, investing in infrastructure, and ensuring that education and community values remain at the forefront of city leadership.

The Good Hope Municipal Election will take place Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025.
