Gwendolyn Gaylene Floyd, age 88, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.
Gwendolyn was a devoted member of 7th Street Baptist Church Cullman, AL. She was a gifted schoolteacher at Arab City Schools, where she inspired and touched the lives of many students throughout her career.
She will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and love for her community and family.
Gwendolyn is survived by her daughters Jennice Floyd (Jim Peterson) & Joan Floyd Phillips, her granddaughters Summer Phillips & Holly Blackwood and her great grandchildren Adelyn Garner & Landen O’Connor.
Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Kenneth Floyd; her son Charles Timothy Floyd; her parents William Fred & Tasker Tompkins Marsh; her brothers Lewis Floyd Sharp & Wallace Wade Marsh.
Gwendolyn will be laid to rest in South Cemetery in Blountsville, AL. A Graveside memorial service will be announced at a later time.
