On May 22nd, 2026 the world lost a true original. Tommy “T-Bone” Wade Barnett passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 72, leaving behind a legacy as vibrant as the life he lived.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland to Joseph B. Barnett Jr. and Mary Louise Hampton Barnett. Tom was a firecracker from day one. He joins his parents, his brother Doug Barnett, and sister Sherrie Barnett Petree in peace. He is survived by his partner Nicole Wright, as well as his siblings Sheila Godfrey (Jon), Brenda Barnett Manous (Perry), Karyn Arnold (Lee), and Shane Barnett, along with a whole crew of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who adored him.

If you knew T- Bone, you knew a man of lived full throttle. He loved the freedom of riding motorcycles and had the patience and skill to build Volkswagens from the ground up. He was the ultimate storyteller- the kind of guy who talked with his hands and could hold a whole room captive with a joke.

But as wild and funny as he was, Tom’s heart was his biggest feature. He was fiercely kind and the type of guy who would literally give you the shirt off his back, doing without just to help someone else out.

The family will host a celebration of life and a “last ride” at a later date.

Tom rode his own path, made us laugh, and loved big. Rest easy T-Bone. The roads ahead of you are all clear.
