Ida Mae Bumpus, age 90, of Decatur, Alabama, transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at her residence. She was born on August 23, 1935, in Mississippi to the late Joseph Duke and Annie D. White Duke.
Ida was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and faithful friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth.
Mrs. Bumpus will lie in repose at Decatur Brown Service Funeral Chapel on Monday, June 1, 2026. Family and friends will be received from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
A graveside service and interment will be held at Decatur City Cemetery on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 11 a.m.
