Reginald “Reggie” Clay, 77, passed away leaving behind a life defined by hard work, dedication, and deep love for family. He was born February 7, 1949, to K.L. Clay and Mavis Smith Clay.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at 12 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Oakwood Memorial Gardens in Gardendale. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday.

A proud graduate of West End High School’s Class of 1967, Reginald distinguished himself early as a talented three-sport athlete, carrying the discipline and determination he learned on the field throughout his life.
He built a respected career as a master plumber, lending his skills to small businesses, large corporations, and eventually his own independent work. Beyond his professional life, Reginald’s greatest joy came from time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patsy Clay; a sister, Debbie Moody.
Survivors include his son, Brad (Bonnie) Clay; daughter, Dana (Brett) Thompson; brothers, Garry (Carol) Clay, Keith (Richann) Clay; grandchildren, Becket, Brendan, Declan, Savannah (Andrew), Sebastion, Sadie, Silas, Lexie (Brandon), Faith; great-grandchildren, Mavis, Murphy; family and friends.
