Linda Reid White, 72, of Holly Pond, Alabama, was welcomed into heaven by our Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Monday, March 9th, 2026. Linda was born in Cullman County, Alabama, on December 3, 1953, to Leslie Eugene and Melba Rhea Holcombe Reid.

Mrs. White is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Melba Reid, and two grandchildren, Tarrant White and Lexi White.

Linda’s memory will be cherished by her beloved husband, Travis White; children, Chuck Schultz (Nandi), Dave Schultz, Brett White (Jennifer), and Lacey McGriff (Zach); her grandchildren, Destiny Goodman (Mason), Collin Schultz, Mia McGriff, Jackson Schultz, Grayson McGriff; her brothers, Kenny Reid (Cindy), Jerry Reid (Linda), Rick Reid (Vicky), Jeffery Reid; a host of nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

Mrs. White attended Holly Pond School and was a member of the 1972 graduating class.

Those who knew Linda know that she was a child of God. Having been baptized into the family of believers in 1966, Linda’s faith was who she was. Her faith was never hidden and was always evident in the many ways she loved and cared for others. Linda worshipped at Full Gospel Church of Holly Pond, but her relationship with Christ was more than Sunday morning church attendance. Mrs. White spent time in her Bible, learning and trusting the words of the Father, actively seeking to know Him. She encouraged others by posting daily verses of scripture on her Facebook page. And she prayed – Linda prayed for those she loved.

Mrs. Linda’s love for God created a woman with a servant heart for others. She was always doing for and serving others. Linda worked in home health for a while, but most of her life was spent taking care of her family. She ironed from home for the public, grew a vegetable garden, canned those vegetables for her family, cooked dozens of options each meal to insure everyone had something to eat that they loved, and spoiled her husband, children, and grandchildren – giving her all to those she adored. If Linda did ever take a few minutes to enjoy something for herself, she might crochet, play the piano, or sing, but those minutes for herself were very few. Linda enjoyed loving others, and pouring her love into her family brought her joy.

Friends are invited to join the White family for visitation on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. Services will follow at noon, with Pastor Jeremy Collier officiating. Linda will be laid to rest in Union Grove Cemetery.

Few people will ever have someone as special as Linda White in their life, but those who have had the great blessing of knowing her will carry her love with them in their hearts. While she will be missed, we find joy in knowing that Linda is in the presence of the Father, worshipping her King and continuing to lift those she loves in prayer before Him.

Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the White family.
