Ralph Arnold Freeman, 84, of Greeneville, TN, passed February 12, 2026.
He retired from Western Auto and Oil Express. He was a Baptist.
Ralph was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 692 and the Elks Lodge.
Survivors include his daughter: Michelle Bible and husband, Matt; son: Rodney Freeman and Shanna Evans; bonus daughter: Linda Cogdell Rector and husband, Gary; sister: Evelyn Stevens; sister-in-law: Martha Freeman both of Cullman, AL; grandchildren: Tyler and Alison Bible, Makenzi Bible and Corey Neece, Ainsley Freeman, Colby Freeman, McKinley Freeman, Dustin Rector, Katelynn Rector, Austin Rector and Jacinta “Jay”; great-grandchildren: James Waddle, Mauri Jo Neece, and baby girl Bible on the way; special nieces: Shawn Freeman, Renita Rigney, Shelly Klein, Amelia Sutter-Moyer, who referred to him as “the fun uncle”; brother-in-law, Eddie DeLorme and wife, Beth,; sister-in-law: Debbie Snapp; nieces: Baranda Kincaid, Tracie Tolentino; and former daughter-in-law: Michelle Freeman-Alexander.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents: Delmar and Geneva Freeman; wife: Phyllis DeLorme Freeman; wife: Betty Cogdell Freeman; brother: Harold Freeman; infant grandson: Riley Freeman; sister-in-law: Ginger DeLorme Chrietzberg; brother-in-law: Milton “Bud” Stevens; nephew: Cortney DeLorme.
The family will receive friends from 2–4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, February 15th, at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. At 7 p.m. Sunday, a Moose Memorial Service will be held. Funeral services will follow with the Rev. Joey Tillery officiating.
Family and friends are asked to meet at Doughty-Stevens at 10:15 a.m. Monday, February 16th, to go in procession to GreeneLawn Memory Gardens for the 11 a.m. committal service. Dr. David Green will officiate.
Active pallbearers will be Tyler Bible, Colby Freeman, Dustin Rector, Austin Rector, Corey Neece, and Grant Berrier. Honorary pallbearers will be Walt McQueen and Tracy Herman.
The family extends a special thank you to all of Ralph’s moose family for all of the love, support, and fellowship over the many years. You were all very important to him and serving the Moose Lodge was a key part of who he was. Ralph achieved the highest honor in service, the Pilgrim Degree.
The family wishes to express sincere gratitude to the nursing staff of 4th floor of Johnson City Medical Center for their compassionate and caring attention to his and his family’s needs during his final days.
