Michael Anthony Hooper age 55 of Cullman, Alabama passed away September 17, 2025. He was born December 17, 1969.
Michael was a kind and simple country man. He loved fishing, the outdoors, 8 and 9 ball pool, Alabama football and racing of any kind. In his later years, Michael gave his life to Christ and consistently attended Southern Cross Church. His faith was of great importance to him and provided peace and comfort through his battle with declining health.
Michael was preceded in death by his granddaughter Alana Faye Harris, parents John Paul “Cowboy” Hooper and Carolyn Ann Wynn Hathcote and his step-father Joseph Hathcote.
He is survived by his daughter Brittany (Tim) Harris and Cassie (Aaron) Simpkins, sisters Tammy (Bertis) Peek, Vicky (Terry) Bradford, Jody (Greg) Caudle and Paula Allen, granddaughters Savannah Michelle Lee, Emma Kylie Faye Harris, Crimson-Faye Mattie Harris, Janice-Jean Faye Harris, and Gracelynn Mae Simpkins, grandsons Emmett-Dee Clayton Harris, Garrison Paul Simpkins, Waylon Marshall Simpkins, and Timothy Wayne Harris III, special cousins Tony and Dustin Hardy, special friends Mark Glasscock and Nathan Morrow, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and family and friends.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
