James Earl Edge, age 86, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
Mr. Edge is survived by his daughter, Jamie Edge Nelson; his son, James Robert (Leigh) Edge; and his son in law, David W Lee; his sister, Deborah McAfee; his grandchildren, Chad (Meghan) Nelson, Brandon (Bethany) Lee, Patrick Nelson, Justin Ross (Sara) Lee, Tyler Edge, Nathan (Mariah) Edge, Oliver (Isabella) Edge, Annalee (Alex) Miller; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Edge was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra June Edge; his daughter, Cindy Edge Lee; his mother, Edna Roselle Edge and his father, Robert Oliver Edge.
Mr. Edge was a long-time member of Cullman First Baptist Church. He began working at Cullman Cabinet as a young child and with his family helped to grow the business into what it is today. Mr. Edge also enjoyed woodworking as a hobby and raised money for CRMC through his project “Pens for Purpose” by donating his hand-turned finely crafted pens. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
A visitation for Mr. Edge will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church-Cullman, 501 2nd Ave SW, Cullman, AL 35055. A celebration of life will occur Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., 501 2nd Ave SW, Cullman, AL 35055. A committal service will follow at Cullman City Cemetery, 9th St SW, Cullman, AL 35055.
