A celebration of life service for David Koenig, 73, of Cullman, will be held at a later date.
Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
Mr. Koenig passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at UAB Hospital. He was born on August 2, 1952 to Norbert and Elizabeth Koenig. David was a packaging design manager for corrugated boxes. He loved music and animals; he had 2 dogs, Romeo and Aja, a cat, Bumper, and a quaker parrot, Pilgrim. He was a wonderful husband and enjoyed watching college sports, especially Kansas Jayhawks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Fred Koenig.
Survivors include his wife, Francine Koenig; sons, Mark Bowers, Matthew (Martha) Bowers; daughter, Natalie (Jonathon) Rumpff; grandchildren, Luke Bowers, Benjamin ‘Ben’ Bowers, Brice Rumpff, Zane Rumpff, and a host of family and friends.
