Funeral services for Carolyn Elizabeth Thompson, 87, will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Blair Congregational Methodist Church, with interment in adjoining cemetery, Bro. Tim Holder and Tim Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm before the service.

Mrs. Thompson was born on October 8, 1937, to parents, D.F. and Susie Snellgrove Williams. Carolyn was a member of Blair Congregational Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandma, great grandma, and Memaw and Mimi. She was beautiful inside and out and she would help anyone in need. She was a very generous person and was a big supporter of St. Jude’s.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, of 64 years, Herman Thompson; brothers, Roy, Ralph, Lonnie and Kenny Williams; sister, Evelyn Broscius.
Survivors include her sons, Rickey (Peggy) Thompson, Robert Thompson, Mitchell Thompson, Michael (Jennifer) Thompson; daughters, Carol Thompson, Cheryle (Roger) Terry, Donna (Tim) Kelly; grandchildren, Elizabeth Thompson, Justin (Amanda) Kelly, Kristi (Daniel) Williams, Richard (Angel) Thompson, Erica (Aaron) Sweat, Jessica (Jason) Hurt, Cody (Blair) Thompson; great-grandchildren, Jack, Colt, and Audrey Kelly, Evie Sweat, Kylee Thompson, Harleigh and Tucker Thompson, Cooper Hurt, Avery Barnett, Carter Tankersley, Camden Hanks; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin Kelly, Roger Terry, Richard Thompson, Daniel Williams, Tim Kelly. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Colt and Audrey Kelly.
