Dwight Edward Phillips, age 57, of St Augustine, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025. Dwight was born February 9, 1968, in Covington, KY to Thelbert Dwight and Janet Agnes Price Phillips.
Dwight loved his family and delighted in the company of every family member. Anything that spoke of or remined Dwight of Alabama was instantly his favorite. He loved anything about camping, especially campers and recreational vehicles. He also enjoyed cooking.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Adam T. Phillips and Nicholas S. Phillips; and his grandparents: Bernard and Tessie Phillips.
Dwight is survived by his sister, Nina Simpson Moyer; brother-in-law, Shawn Moyer; nephews: Anthony Simpson and Travis Prescott Simpson; niece-in-law, Yeisel Simpson; great nephew, Michael Simpson and a host of other family members and friends.
A visitation for Dwight will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 205 3rd Ave SE, Cullman, AL 35055. A rosary service will occur Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The committal will be Wednesday, July 23, 2025, following the Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, 812 9th St SW, Cullman, AL 35055.
