Charles (Charlie) Price, age 82 of Hartselle, AL, passed away peacefully at his home on July 16, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. Charles was a devoted husband, father, Papa and friend.

He was a member of Friendship Methodist Church and was a devout follower of Christ who loved the Lord with all his heart.

Charlie Price was born on December 6, 1942, in Vinemont, AL, the son of Ruth and Ernest Price. A proud graduate of MacArthur High School, Charlie answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served with distinction for 20 years, dedicating his life to protecting the freedoms we all cherish. His military service was marked by honor, duty, and resilience — values that he carried with him throughout his life.

After retiring from the Air Force, Charlie and his family settled in Hartselle, Alabama. There, he ran a poultry farm, worked at Intergraph Corporation, and later at Huntsville International Airport. Never one to stop learning, Charlie returned to college and earned a degree in electronics, demonstrating his lifelong curiosity and determination.

Charlie is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Wanda Price; his beloved daughter Angela (Roger)Hardin of Trussville, AL; and his cherished grandchildren, Kyle (Ashley) Pietrzak of Huntsville, AL, and Michelle Pietrzak of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by his brother Gary (Tonya) Price of Cullman, AL, and a large extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Tom Walker; brothers Quintus and Travis Price; sister Christine Willingham; brother-in-law Maurice Willingham; and nephew Kenneth Willingham.

A faithful member of Friendship Methodist Church, Charlie found joy in his church community, family, and the simple pleasures of life — traveling, working on his farm, and repairing computers. But above all, he loved his family deeply. His wife, daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren were the light of his life.

Charlie’s legacy is one of faith, service, and unwavering love — for his family, his church, and his country.

Funeral Services for Charlie Price will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Cullman Funeral Home. Family will receive visitors an hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Hardin, Kyle Pietrzak, Roger Bogard, Scott Lane, Tyler Bogard, and Zachary Lancaster.
