Obituary: James Austin Wesson

James Austin Wesson, Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. 
 
James was born in Dora, AL on December 16th, 1939. He passed away on February 16th, 2025, at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN with his loving family by his side. 
 
James was preceded in death by his parents Bibb Wesson and Inez York Wesson, his sister Judy Elaine Wesson, and his beloved pet cat Pinkie. 
 
James is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 65 years Jeanie Seibert Wesson, his daughter Ginger, her husband Joseph Pintaudi, and his son James Wesson, his wife Jennifer Gray. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Alex Haggard (husband Josh), Joey Pintaudi (wife Brittany), Jimmy Pintaudi, and Jonah Wesson, and his three great-grandchildren Jake Haggard, Emma Haggard, and AJ Haggard. 
 
James was a businessman and owner of Wesson Poultry Supply in the city of Cullman for 20 years. He was an independent poultry farmer for 25 years in Cullman County. 
 
James was a hard worker that put in a tremendous amount of work throughout his entire life to support his family and make their lives as joyful as possible. He loved watching and talking about classic movies. He loved his family his grandchildren and great-grand children and loved spending time with them at Smith Lake and at the beach. He was an Auburn Fan… War Eagle! 
 
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 8th at 2 p.m. Garden City Cemetery in Garden City, Alabama.
