William Durell Thornton, age 85, of Cullman, Alabama passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
William is survived by his daughters Janet Moody(Danny) and Jennifer Thornton, his grandchildren Kallen McDonald(Scott), Victoria Lynn Glover, Hollie Caroline Bowden(Michael),Caitlin McDonald and Trace Moody(Whitney) and his great grandchildren Levi Moody, Bryant Moody, Kade Moody and Luke McDonald. William was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Parker Thornton; his parents William Fabeous and Jewel Dean Thornton; his brother Jimmy Thornton; his granddaughter Alainah Leigh Glover.
A celebration of life visitation for William will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home, 1901 2nd AVE North West, Cullman, AL 35055, followed by a celebration of life funeral service at 11 a.m.
William will be laid to rest in Good Hope Cemetery, 90 Good Hope School Road, Good Hope, AL 35057.
Serving as pallbearers are Ronald Parker, Eli Parker, Nic Moody, Ian Moody and Michael Bowden.
