Funeral service for Beatrice ‘Pat’ Wright, 82, of North Richland Hills, Texas, formerly of Cullman, will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Mt. Hope Baptist Cemetery, Rev. Perry Knight officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. before the service on Sunday.

Pat was born on April 27, 1942, to Allen Lester and Elsie Renee McCain Lay. Mrs. Wright loved to play the piano. She was the church pianist at Southside Baptist Church in Cullman and continued in her Sunday School class in Texas. She was active in The Dawn Class at church and was a long-time secretary at Cullman Chamber of Commerce.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Elsie Lay; husband, Bill Wright; brother-in-law, Roland Freeman.
Survivors include her son, Stephen (Stacey) Wright; brother, Kirby (Delilah) Lay; sister, Ann Freeman; grandson, Mason Parker Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jerry McCain, Hiram Freeman, Baron Vincent, Austin Barrett, Perry Brown, Kevin Lay and honorary pallbearers Frankie Lay and Garry Lay.
