Michael “Pickel” Joe Hitt, age 73, of Hanceville, Alabama passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. Pickel was born in Bessemer, Alabama on April 26, 1951 to Billy Joe and Mattie Carolyn Honeycutt Hitt. He is preceded in death by his father and a nephew: Kelley Wayne Waters.
Funeral services will be on Friday September 20, 2024 at 12 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.Joe Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow services in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Blountsville Alabama.
Survivors are: son: Michael Kevin Hitt, mother: Mattie Carolyn Hitt, sister: Brenda Kay (Randy) Waters,
grandchildren: Harley Joe Hitt Shoemaker, Michael Tanner Hitt, Kason Zain Hitt, 3 great grandchildren, nieces: Kimberly Ann Waters, Kari Michelle Waters, great nephew: Bryson Jessie Chatman.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 10 a.m. until service time at 12 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel.
