Ronald “Ron” Marce Huffman, age 76, of Cullman

Ronald “Ron” Marce Huffman, a devoted follower of Christ, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on the morning of May 30 at the age of 76.

Ronald was born August 18, 1947, in Cullman, Alabama, to Jack and Mamie Huffman. On October 9, 1982 (41 years), he married Deanna Huffman, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Throughout Ron’s cancer journey over the past three years, Deanna stood by his side, providing incredible strength and excellent care.

Ron’s children, Danielle (Michael) Reed, Ashley Cook, and Nicholas (Shaheen) Huffman , will forever cherish the memories of his unwavering support and unconditional love.

As a grandfather, Ron found immense joy in the laughter and happiness of his grandchildren: Tucker Huffman Burnette, Tarver Cook, Laeton Reed, Trystan Reed, Case Reed, Lake Reed, and his only granddaughter that could always bring a smile to his face Zaviyah Huffman .

Other family members that will continue to cherish memories of Ron include: Charlene Kimbrell, his mother-in-law, Ann Wilbanks his sister, John and Christye Kingston his brother in-law and sister in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mamie Huffman, his sister Faye Edgemon, his in-laws Jimmy and Charlotte Skillington, his father-in-law Dean Kimbrell, and brother-in-law Kenneth Kimbrell.

In addition to his roles within his family, Ron enjoyed golf, fishing, and Alabama football. An accomplished golfer, he achieved four hole-in-ones in his lifetime. Whether on the green, by the water, or cheering on a touchdown, Ron’s contagious joy often filled the air with laughter.

Professionally, Ron was a successful salesman and entrepreneur. His love for people provided him with the opportunity to build many friendships throughout his career.

Spiritually Ron made a life-changing decision to follow Jesus at the young age of nine. Ron was a member and attended First Baptist Cleveland serving faithfully for decades. Ron enjoyed the fellowship and support of the Wallace Sunday school class. We may never know the impact Ron made while helping in the Youth Ministry, serving at Camp Cherokee, Chaperoning Mission Tour, driving a golf cart to welcome church members and visitors with a smile. Today he would want to know “Do you know my Jesus?”.
