Obituary: Louise Alberta Stamos

Louise Alberta Stamos, 69, of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away Jan. 3, 2024 at her residence.

She was born April 19, 1954 to the late Albert Cushing and Lucy Dickinson. Louise enjoyed word search puzzles, attending church, cleaning her home, having dinner with her sisters, spending time with her grandkids and she loved her job at Walmart. Louise was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and loved attending the meetings.

Louise is survived by her son, Donald “Buddy” Kindard (Adrienne).; daughter, Tina Morrison; brothers, George Gray, Larry Gray (Cathy); sisters, Betty Jackson (Paul), Patricia Wallace (David); grandchildren, Amanda Sha Kinard, Jasmine Pierce, Elizabeth Kinard, Riley Burnett, Jacob Morrison (Amber), and Stone Morrison (Kimberly); several great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gus Stamos; parents, Albert Cushing and Lucy Dickinson Gray; brothers, Jessie Gray, Bill Garrison; grandma, Lizzie Beasley, and the father of her children Donald Kinard.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024. The Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
