Loree Blankenship Bolan, age 82, of Houston, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at Decatur-Morgan Hospital.
Loree was born in Winston County, Alabama on July 19, 1940, to Albert Blankenship and Pervie Warren Blankenship. She loved shopping, thrift stores and hummingbirds. She was an avid gardener who loved her flowers. Most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at New Home Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, from 2 – 4 p.m. with services to follow at 4 p.m. Brother Danny Page will officiate. Interment will follow in Moreland Cemetery.
Loree is survived by her daughter: Lynn Tidwell and husband William; son: Tim Bolan and wife Emily; grandchildren: Jessica Webb and husband Nate, Tyler Tidwell, Lili Lizbeth Bolan, and Emma Bolan; great grandchildren: Madilynn Webb and Mereydth Webb; and siblings: Lelton Blankenship, Louise Mitchell, Lorene Harris, and Linda Faye Clark.
She was preceded in death by her husband: John Henry Bolan; parents: Albert and Pervie Blankenship; siblings: Louie Blankenship, Lloyd Blankenship, L.B. Blankenship, Lawrence “Coon” Blankenship, Leamon Blankenship, Leo Blankenship, and Lowell Bumgart.
