Funeral service for Margie Nell Laney, 80, of Hanceville will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 24, 2022 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mt. Vernon West Congregational Methodist Church, Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday.

Mrs. Laney passed away Friday, January 21st, 2022 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born May 15, 1941 to Athel Alton and Iown Willingham Guthery. She loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law: Bobby Mattox and brother-in-law: Jim Albright.
Survivors include her sons: Dumont Laney and Ronald (Linda) Laney; daughters: Janola (John) Mitchell and Cloressia Mattox; grandchildren: Justin (Rachel) Mitchell, Denzel Mattox, Brett (Katie) Mitchell, Ethan (Kami) Mitchell and Jessica Ferguson; seven great-grandchildren; sister: Sue Albright; family and friends.
