Obituary: Virginia Fay “Boots” Hudson

Virginia Fay “Boots” Hudson, of Cullman, Alabama, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, at CRMC, at the age of 81. She was born on February 3, 1940 to Walter and Delora Page.

Boots was an excellent seamstress for many years and an extremely hard worker. She loved her family with a passion, as well as her “adopted’ family with a passion. She enjoyed gardening and senior citizen adventures.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister: Brenda Kay Page and her brother: William Isom (Little Buddy) Page.  

She is survived by her loyal companion: Phillip Creel, of Cullman, Alabama; daughters: Brenda (Ronnie) McGriff and Darlene (Andy) McGinnis, both of Holly Pond, Alabama; brother: Jerry Page; sisters: Shirley Olinger, Imogene Speakman, Nell Dean Whitley and Delby Chambers; grandchildren: Kevin McGriff, Derek McGriff and Judd McGinnis; great-grandchildren: Hailee (Kyle) Lopez and Kameron McGriff; family in love: Sandy (Phillip) Hampton, Candence Brown, Corey Hampton, Riley, Ryan, and Reagan Brown, Cove and Creek Hampton; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Hudson are 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike King and Brother Frank Speakman officiating. Burial will follow in Redan Cemetery where Ricky Olinger, Andy Chambers, Tim McGraw, Brent Towers, Kevin McGriff and Rusty Brown will serve as pallbearers. Ryan and Riley Brown will serve as honorary pallbearers. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday evening, July 20, 2021, at the funeral home from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
