Funeral services for Jerry James Cone, 75, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at Temple Baptist Church with interment in Mt. Grove Baptist Cemetery, Rev. Malcolm Carter II officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at the church from noon-2 p.m.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Cone passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2020 at Cullman Regional. He was born Dec. 9, 1945 to Roland Fletcher and Ruth Irene Johnson Cone. He was a dedicated member of Temple Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all his heart. For almost 55 years, he was employed at American Trim. He was an avid Alabama football fan. He and his wife were foster parents for 16 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Marlin Cone.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Myra Cone; sons Randall Cone and Allen (Sandi) Cone; daughter Sherry (Everett) Adkins; nephew John Rodgers; sisters Freda (Euell) Bartlett, Othelia Hitt, and Dorothy Basinger; grandchildren Devan (Carissa) Cone, Zachary (Meagan) Cone, Aidan Cone, Justin (Brianna) Whitehead, Christopher Whitehead, Kelcy Whitehead, Tyler Cone, and Dylan Cone; step-grandchildren Joseph Adkins and Eli Adkins; eight great-grandchildren; and family and friends.
