Lee Roy Hamby, 76, of Double Springs passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 31, 1944 to Leonard and Minnie Hamby. Lee proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Visitation will be Saturday, Dec.12, 2020 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Double Springs Church of Christ, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Double Springs Memorial Cemetery (Cockrell-West). Vance Hutton and Justin Guin will officiate.
Lee is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Lou Hamby; daughter Stacy (Denny) Tinch; grandchildren Garrett and Lily Tinch; brothers Wayne (Mary) Hamby and Frank Hamby; sister Carolyn Taylor; lifelong friend Frankie (Brenda) Hicks; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Leonard Hamby; mother Minnie Holcomb Hamby; brothers Carl Hamby, Russell Hamby, Jack Hamby, James Hamby and Neal Hamby; and sister Ona Keller.
