Obituary: Larry D. Saint

Larry D. Saint, 72, of Cullman passed away Nov. 21, 2020. Mr. Saint was born April 5, 1948 in Marshall County to Hubert Lee and Gladys Couch Saint.

Mr. Saint was a longtime resident of his community. He attended New Home Baptist Church and was a Freemason, as well as a Scottish Rite. Larry was a veteran of the United States Army and served our country honorably in the Vietnam War. After the war, Larry worked as a Division Manager for Precision Chemical Cleaning. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting guns and knives, and he also loved to work in his yard. Mr. Saint kept a garden and enjoyed being on his tractor. The most important part of Larry’s life was his girls, though. He loved any time spent with his daughters and granddaughters. Larry was blessed with two daughters, five granddaughters, and a great-granddaughter.

Mr. Saint is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Gladys Saint; beloved wife of 43 years, Charlene Saint; sister Nina Jo Prince; and brothers Buddy Saint and Douglas Saint.

Larry is survived by his daughters Amanda Stancil (David) and Telisha Caldwell (Richard); granddaughters ChaLyce Sale’ (Gibson), Brittnee Caldwell, MarLah Stancil, Ashlee Caldwell, and August Grace Stancil; great-granddaughter Mia Cru Sale’; brothers Harry Saint and Carl Saint; sister Margarette Saint; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Mr. Saint will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2020 at New Home Cemetery, with Dr. David Stancil and Rev. Brent Garrett officiating. Mike Prince, Mason Atchley, Terry McDearmond, Brian Cassis, Lennie Thompson, Donnie Hadley, Billy Bentley, and Bo Coker will serve as pallbearers. Ray Hodge and Jackie Collins will serve as honorary pallbearers for Mr. Saint. Friends and family are invited to attend the services for Larry, but we ask that you please wear a mask and observe social distancing regulations if attending.
