James Anthoney Whatley, 55, of Cullman passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 at Cullman Regional Hospital.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Whatley was born June 3, 1965 to James Edward and Angela Helen Veronica Baker Whatley. He was an avid writer, game player and sci-fi fan. He was employed throughout Cullman County and taught at Wallace State. He was ready to explore the great unknown.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents Hazel M. and James W. Connell.
Survivors include his life partner Timmy Cofer; sister Andrea Schwab; cousins Jerusha Gann, Brandy Farrell, Stephanie Whatley Farmer, Jonathan Whatley, Fiona Norris, Amanda Fuller, James Marion Whatley, Sharon Whatley, and Rowe Allan Whatley; aunt Corinne Heritage; uncles Jack E. (Marilyn) Whatley and L. Charles (Cathy) Whatley; family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Diabetes Foundation.
