Obituary: Plunner “Nana” Louise Brown

Visitation for Plunner “Nana” Louise Brown, 92, was Monday, May 18, 2020 from 4-6 p.m. at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Southside Chapel, Shreveport, LA. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Double Springs, Alabama.

She passed away May 15, 2020 at her residence in Stonewall, LA. Plunner was the daughter of Conner and Tommie Denton Gilbreath. She was born Sept. 25, 1927 in Double Springs, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 55 years, William “Mack” Brown; and son Jerry Brown, Sr.

She was a member of the Keithville United Methodist Church. She loved volunteering at the church’s Vacation Bible School and the pumpkin patch. She also loved to crochet and do crossword puzzles. Plunner was a manager at Stuckey for many years.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Linda Coronado-DeLeon; grandchildren Starra Keen and husband Michael of Stonewall, Amanda Gower, Jerry Brown, Jr. and wife Kristen of Connecticut, Conner Brown and wife Sarida of New York, Thomasina Adams and Amanda Parker of Georgia; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Nana’s family wants to extend a very special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Joseph Hospice.
