Obituary: Delma “Lou” Minier

Delma “Lou” Minier, formerly of Cullman, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Marshall Manor Nursing Home at the age of 90.

She was born in Blount County Dec. 15, 1929 to Jim and Leona Weaver Beason.

In 1955, she moved to Michigan and spent most of her life there with her husband Wilton Minier. She returned to the area in 2002. After returning to the Cullman area, she attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Welti. She enjoyed her whole family and loved to laugh and have a fun time. She was a wonderful grandma to all her step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter Barbara Beason; sisters Fanny Temple and Delfie Butts; and brothers Floyd Beason, Ollie Beason and Bill Beason.

She is survived by 19 step-grandchildren; 39 step-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

Her Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Moss Service Funeral Home Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 2 p.m. Her family will receive friends prior to the service at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Union Grove Cemetery.
