Obituary: Elisha Don Pepper

Elisha Don Pepper, 87, of Arley entered into rest Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Pepper was born Oct. 12, 1932.

Don enjoyed working and being outdoors. He was very proud to have served his country in the Korean War.  He enjoyed taking care of his cattle and he and Joy enjoyed taking trips to the mountains.  He attended Eva High School and was a member of Meek Baptist Church for 14 years.

Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 from 11 a.m.-noon at Meek Baptist Church, where services will be at noon. Burial will follow in Meek Cemetery.

Don is survived by his wife Myrtle “Tiny” Pepper; children Paul Pepper and Sherry (Charles) Hyde; grandchildren Megan (Nathan) Fincher, Mackenzie Pepper, Logan Hyde, Olivia Hyde and Colin Hyde; great-grandchildren Carson Fincher and Olivia Fincher; and sister-in-law Wynda Schiesz.

He was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Vera Edwards Pepper; first wife Joy Honor Lindley Pepper; and sisters Dorthy Faye Burnett and Vernell Humphrey.
