Imogene Helton Satterfield was born July 15, 1930 to U.L. Helton and Annie Barbee Helton. She died Dec. 13, 2019.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband Issac M. Satterfield; sisters Alene, Geneva and Annie Faye; brother U.L. Helton, Jr.; daughter Jean and son-in-law Harold Thornton.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Thornton; sons Jackie (Lanette) Satterfield and Larry (Sandra) Satterfield; grandchildren Jessie Thornton, Kim Arnold, Cindy Harris, Shelia Smith, Andrea Waldrop, Susan Satterfield, Emily Ray and Luke Satterfield; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was a member of Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she remained active until her death. She was a loving mother and a kind lady, not only to her family, but also to anyone she met.
Funeral services are Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located at 8817 County Road 747, Cullman, Alabama 35055. Rev. Jimmy Peyton will be officiating.
Visitation will be at the church Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow services in the adjoining cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Welti Cemetery fund.
