Ada Rose Canida Barton, 97, of Theodore (formerly of Haleyville), entered into rest on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Ms. Barton was born on Dec. 28, 1921 in Haleyville, Alabama.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2019 at 1 p.m., Brother Glenn Bridgmon officating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery.
Ms. Barton is survived by her son, Jerry (Patty) Barton, Sr.; five grandchildren, Bonita Purser, Sherri Cockrell, Greg Barton, Shannon Wise and Jerry “Bo” Barton, Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Lisa, Cheryl, Annagrace, Jessica, Jennifer, Jerad and Tyler; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Albert Canida and Mary Jane Glenn Canida; son, Jimmy Barton; sisters, Alice Clark and Annie Clark and brothers, Lee Canida and Walker Canida.
