Funeral services for Mr. James Willard “J.W.” Wilkins, 78, of Logan, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 in the Cullman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Pisgah Cemetery near Nesmith, with Bro. Homer Jones and Bro. Royce Shelton officiating.
Willard was born Oct. 4, 1940 and passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019 in Logan with his family at his bedside.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Evie Wilkins; brother, Eugene Wilkins; sisters Okaleen Hood, Macie Eddy and Kayleen McWreath; and a grandson Collin Peak.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Karen Burgess Wilkins; sister, Martha (Eddy) Knight; children, Lori Stephenson, Jamie Jones, Tammy Brown, Mona Hewston, Justin (April) Burgess, Eshaunae (Jason) Downs, Stephanie (Matt) Sandlin and Tiffany (Luke) Bumgart; 17 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation Friday, Aug. 9, 2019 from 6-8 p.m.
