Billy Edwards, 89, of Oneonta, AL was born on Oct. 12, 1929 to the late W. F. and Ethel Sims Edwards and passed away on May 7, 2019 at St. Vincent’s East Hospital.
He was a member of Mountain Pointe Ministries Church.
Also preceding him in death were his sisters Jewel DelFave and Christine Bryan Williams.
Survivors include his wife Sue Blackwood Edwards; son Scott Alan Edwards (Cindy); grandchildren Britney Smith (Chad) and Anthony Edwards; sisters Betty Hudson, Carolyn Blackmon (Rex) and Ann Tawbush (Dan) and brother Phillip Edwards.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Lemley Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A graveside service will be following the visitation in the Blount Memory Cemetery at 2 pm with Bro. Bud Jones officiating. Lemley Funeral Home directing.
