Robert Stephen “Flip” Flippo, 58 of Haleyville, entered into rest Wednesday, May 2, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born on Nov. 16, 1960. He attended Phillips High School in Bear Creek, Alabama. His hobbies included: fishing, hunting, reading, and watching football and golf. He also enjoyed bird watching.
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 4, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Crossway Church in Haleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m., May 4, 2019. Doctor Jordan Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in Old Union Cemetery (County Hwy. 62).
Robert is survived by his wife of 39 years, Donna Flippo; son, Steven Lee (Ashley) Flippo; daughter; Lisa (Chris) Hill; brother, Allen (Renee) Flippo; he was “Paw Paw” to six grandchildren, Noah Owens, Zachary Clapper, Ethan Stidham, Lizzie Flippo, Eli Flippo, and Levi Flippo; one Great Granddaughter, Gracelyn Owens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Presley and Pearl Mae Flippo; and brothers, Howard Wayne, David Ronald, and Bobby Ray Flippo.
